Penyon Bay Ecovillage will be an ecological village and Mediterranean farm retreat located in the Rif Mountains of Northern Morocco.

The Ecovillage will be comprised of 20 hectares with possible expansion to 100 hectares, with a population of 140 to 150 people between residents, guests and work-traders, and will be located strategically between the three major cities of the region. We will be close to mountains, beaches, parks and farm markets. The village will include farming plots, gardens and green spaces, residential areas made of solar adobe units, a hostel, a kitchen, a central office space, open and closed meeting areas, work and storage spaces and much more, budget permitting.

We mostly need people committed to a very particular vision of life and the world (vision whose tenets we still have to post on the website). We need above all "artists" in all fields, that can create beautiful things, actions, environments. That entails mostly people who are creative, hard working and most importantly, had a revelation of true love. We couldn't create a community otherwise. I know it is too much to ask but we need a solid core of individuals  to start and we know you people are out there.

The project will be largely supported by the contributions of member/founders, proceeds from the village's diverse activities, and donations and gifts by individuals and organizations that share in our vision.

As we are in the starting phases, our needs are many, our expenses innumerable and our resources relatively limited. So those of you who feel they have materials or other means that can be used towards the project do not hesitate to come forward. We need you.
